The 1st qualifying round went well with Albertson claiming 4th fastest lap time, although that would be the highlight of the race day. Top Jimmy had a tough week following a hard crash at Southwick, as his body was still feeling the effects of the crash, and then succumbed to sickness the during week.The TLD/Shoei backed racer would hold down 10th place in moto 1 until Lap 9 when he would have to slow the pace to be able to finish the moto. He would finish 16th. Albertson would hold off riding the 2nd moto to allow himself to gain his strength back for round #12 at Pala on September 10th.
