Rockstar Yamaha Valli Motorsports’ Albertson attended the Texas Pro Challenge over the weekend. The “Pro Challenge” has been called the last national of the year with many famous pros racing the event for their share of the $25,000 purse.
Albertson made the drive during the week from SoCal to Oklahoma to Texas to make the annual big money race at Swan Cycle Park in Tyler Texas. His efforts would be rewarded, although 1st place would elude him.
There would need to be qualifying races for the 42 gate positions available. Albertson won the qualifier over Bogle, but when it came time for the 2 moto format, it would be Bogle going 1-1 to take the biggest piece of the money pie. Albertson would take 2nd overall after a few mistakes.
Upcoming Schedule:
After the weekend in Texas, Monday and Tuesday would be at the Canard compound putting in laps on the SX track and visiting with his “home away from home family”. Today will put Jimmy back on the road to Las Vegas for the Monster Energy Cup with his new traveling companion . While at the MX of Nations in France, Jimmy was able to “kidnap” the World MXGP co-announcer Georgia Lindsay, and they are traveling the US together attending dirt bike races! “Top Jimmy” might have not got the MX of Nations trophy, but he got the girl. Damn Americans! (or in this case “Puerto Ricans”). Good luck to the both of them in their travels!
